Personal Growth

One of my favorite teachers, the great Jim Rohn, would constantly say two things that had a dramatic impact on my life:

Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems; wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges; wish for more wisdom.

I used to say “I sure hope things change.” Then I learned the only way things are going to change for me is when I change.

Those two statements, along with those of other renowned teachers, taught me the value of personal growth and the realization that no one was in in charge of mine other than me. So, thirty-five years ago I began taking responsibility for equipping myself with what I needed in order to achieve my dreams.

The best way to achieve the outcomes you desire in life is to know where you are today, where you want to be in the future and what it will take to close the gap. But, the most critical question to answer is WHY you want the future you’ve painted for yourself.

The answer to this critically important question, WHY, provides the inspiration needed to make your dream a reality. Without answering the WHY, you’ll never be able to create the passion, commitment, perseverance and joy needed to achieve your dreams. You’ll lack the necessary awareness.

Personal growth is about understanding that if your Why is big enough, the how and what will fall into place. Once you get a clear understanding of where you are in relation to where you want to be, you can then begin to determine what’s needed to get you to your desired outcome.

The Lyons Den Group can assist you with:

  • Defining your vision and the WHY behind it
  • How to do an honest assessment of where you are currently (no b.s., no excuses)
  • What you need to do to close the gap between where you are to where you desire to be
  • Creating a methodology and timeline for accomplishing what’s needed to reach your dream

While these steps are interconnected they are distinctly different. My expertise lies in guiding you through a structured and enlightening process of disciplined and consistent progress towards your goals and dreams. Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day for a very long period of time. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines that leads to the life we desire.

John Maxwell, one of the great thought leaders of our time, is someone I have a business affiliation with. John has taught me that in order to become the person you were created to be requires intentionality, doing it on purpose. My desire is to help you develop the right attitude, learn more about your strengths, tap into your passion, become more in touch with your purpose, and develop your skills so you can be all you can be.

There is nothing more important to your individual success and sense of fulfillment in life than personal growth. Decide what type of life you want for yourself and let us help you on the journey towards realizing your dreams.
